Mirroring a remote storage

I need one way sync. But the other storage is NOT a readynas and I dont have an admin access to it (cannot install anything on it).
What I though about is having a VPN client on our readynas and a script that connects to the VPN at night, does an incremental copy of specified folders, and disconnects from the VPN...
