Missing files using CIFS but visible using AFP
I have photos stored on a Share with no special characters in the filenames. When I connect to my Photos share via CIFS on my iMac as either admin, User, or Guest, I only see the 1,414 individual files when there are actually more. However when I connect to the Photos share as either admin or User using AFP, I can see the 1,448 files. Both protocols are set with a default access of Read-only with specific Users identified in the Write-enabled users field. I have even executed the Advanced Options by checking the "Set ownership and permission for existing files and folders in this share to the above settings" with no change in file visibility using CIFS. One additional check I performed to ensure the iMac wasn't the issue was that I connected to the Share using a Windows7 machine which also only sees 1,414 files.
Are there any suggestions to allow this Share to display all of the files within the Share using CIFS protocol?

- btbojoAspirantI believed I have isolated the issue. Certain photos were marked as "hidden" that must have somehow occurred during importing via Lightroom5. There didn't seem to be a way through the ReadyNAS nor my iMac to deselect that attribute. Fortunately, I had a Windows 7 machine and was able to change the file properties on the "hidden" photos. I can now see the full number of files in both AFP and CIFS.
