Missing setup and browse from raidar and cant access shares
Win 7 and Readynas duo V1
After starting I couldn't access shares anymore. drive failure message and all sorts went on. Took out one of the drives and checked out data via
R-Linux and it all seems to be there. Resynced drives and can now find shares on frontview again and raidar shows the NAS but the setup and browse sections on raidar are blanked and cant be accessed.
On PC Network page the readynas shows under storage and media devices but no longer under computer.
I am at a loss as to to how I can access my data (which looks as though it is still on the drives (as they are showing under frontview) and get the shares showing again on the PC.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

- StephenBGuru - Experienced Useruse \\nasname in the windows explorer address pane (not IE). Or \\nasname\sharename to reach a specific share.
You can also create shortcuts using that convention, and map drive letters using it. Though mapping drive letters makes the NAS vulnerable to cryptolocker. - Madcat22AspirantHi again StephenB.
I've tried both methods above and get the message "Windows cannot access \\nas-02-46-74" When I go into windows diagnostics it says "remote device or resource wont accept the connection" - StephenBGuru - Experienced Userwhat happens if you use \\nasipaddress instead?
- Madcat22AspirantIt says:
"windows cannot access. error code 0x80004005"
I ran diagnostic and it came up:
"computer appears to be properly configured but the drive or resource is not responding" - Madcat22AspirantMe again.
I fixed it. Various piddling around with network settings, including giving permissions on firewall, then reset (not factory), finally gave me access to browse on Raidar which then allowed me into the shares. Data all safe, huge sigh of relief. Will back up nas onto another one now for safety.
Thanks for looking and trying to help.
