Modification of rsync backup script possible?
I am switching to rsync as my backup protocol for the ReadyNAS, however I don't like the "sync" nature of it - I want the tool to copy new or modified files, but not delete anything from the backup if it's removed from the source. In the interest of doing this I'd like to modify the script that's triggered for the backup, or even better, the default from which it is constructed.
Any intel on how this may be accomplished?
The reason I'm moving to rsync, for those who are wondering, is that the backup gains some abilities that aren't part of the "normal" backup method, specifically the ability to exclude directories or files from a job. This lets me accomplish in three jobs what would take almost 14 jobs to do without it.

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredLeave "Remove deleted files on..." checkbox unchecked and files you remove won't be removed from the backup destination.
- glashoppahAspirantI noticed that box, and left it unchecked, but when I changed a job to use rsync it promptly removed 200G of files from the destination that did not exist on the source. So I am not confident that this checkbox does what I want.

- glashoppahAspirantCurrently full backups are scheduled "First time".
