Mountain Lion Preview and ReadyNAS Duo
Hello,
I installed Mountain Lion 10.8 on a MacBook Pro (specs incoming if necessary) and I knew from the Lion Upgrade, the NAS was shagged so I was expecting the same thing and initially I thought I was right. No shared drives from the NAS were showing up. However the next day they did show up so I clicked on it and it “disappeared” all 3 of them (CIFS) (AFP) and the other one.
Anything I can do to check?

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWere things working fine when you were running Lion (10.7)?
What version of RAIDiator firmware is running on the Duo?
On your Mac are you booted into the 64-bit kernel (default) or the 32-bit kernel?
Mountain Lion is in Dev Preview so not everything will necessarily work with it. Having said that it may not be a problem with Mountain Lion and your answers to the questions above may give some clues as to what the problem is. I'm not a member of the Mac Developer Program so I haven't tested it. - TigaSefiAspirantHello,
Sorry for the delay.
10.7 - Works fine. Absolutely fine on Lion iMac that my gf uses.

Could you try 4.1.9-T2?: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=59222 - TigaSefiAspirantI've taken the serial numbers out.
I will install the 4.1.9 version tonight when I get home. Will report back after that. - TigaSefiAspirantInstalled 4.1.9 and it works now.
Thanks. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredGreat! Wasn't necessarily expecting that to work (4.1.9-T2 came out well before Mountain Lion Developer Preview) but great that it does.
- TigaSefiAspirantI think I have been too hasty. It doesn't work again. What happens is that I click on CIFS or AFP and it disappears. About 30 mins later it re-appears but disappears again when I try to access it.
I am not expecting it to be fixed but more of a warning that in this preview, there is a chance that it may not work. In my case, this is true. - yoh-dahGuideCan you send me logs? See my sig.
- schalliolAspirantJust curious if Time Machine is working well for you in 10.8.
- TigaSefiAspirantTime Machine doesn't work as it can't see the NAS either.
