Multiple simultaneous RSYNC Jobs
I'm wondering how a 316 would react to having to different remote units trying to run remote RSYNC backup jobs into or out of the 316 at the same time. If all RSYNC jobs are initiated on the same machine, the system will queue them up but what happens if two different remote machines try to run RSYNC on the 316 at the same time - is OS 6 smart enough to put one of the jobs on hold until it has finished responding to the other ?
I'm curious as I was running an NVX for backups with this scenario (OS 4.2.30) and I'm sure it was just coincidence but the box died last week at about the time the it would have been seeing these two different jobs from different remote ReadyNAS units. The box went offline and reported multiple drives dead. I've replaced the NVX with a 316 but would like to know if this will cause any issues of if the box is intended to handle this as a routine occurence.

As it turns out, I have a few different UPS units on different devices. My "expensive" pure sine wave UPS reports electrical noise and switching over to battery at the time that the NVX died. The NVX was connected to a cheaper not pure sine wave UPS in the same location and that UPS does not report any electrical problems or having switched over to battery at the time that the NVX died ... it would appear likely that electrical noise cratered the UPS ... so much for "cheap" UPS units as none of my less expensive units are reporting any of the power events that my expensive unit is reporting (4 events in the last 24 weeks) ...
