Upper or Lower case, spaces or not - it doesn't matter, the choice is yours
For Plex I follow 2 primary rules and rarely have issues with it detecting the media correctly
For Movies - each should go into its own folder, where the folder is the name of the movie. I find this practical anyway as my movies tend to have multiple external subtitle files, artwork etc & I'd rather than have all that stuff in a single folder rather than all movies & additional files in a single folder. eg:
/c/media/Movies/War of the Worlds/war of the worlds.avi
For TV shows - remember to include the Season/Episode info in the file name (eg S01E09), and place in a folder named after the Series. If you're a neat freak you can also add Season subfolders below the Series name eg for the show "sphardy" an episode might be found as:
/c/media/TV Shows/sphardy/Season 3/sphardy - S03E12 - episodename.avi
You can of course add further subfolders to the path for genres etc but tend not to as Plex supports sorting via metadata anyway
