Hi
Everything is going great. My movieS and TV programmes are set out perfectly in flex and I can toggle between watched/unwatched using Plex on my iMac to show which movies I have watched.
I have one last problem....
I have a significant number of small video files on various subjects which I would like to include within Plex.
These are typically
/c/media/videos/diy/diy video files in this folder
/c/media/videos/sailing/sailing video files in this folder
/c/media/videos/guitar/guitar video files in this folder
At the moment I have used the movie scanner on each of folders so that on the main Plex menu I have
videos - diy
videos - sailing
videos - guitar
In total I must have about 30 separate entries in the main Plex menu which shows the folder names for the various files. Unfortunately this is rather messy when compared to the way Plex handles other series of programmes such as 'horn blower', 'lewis', 'V' etc
I have tried setting out the files using the following format
/c/media/videos/diy/season 1/diy - s01e01 - hanging a door part 1
/c/media/videos/diy/season 1/diy - s01e02 - hanging a door part 2
/c/media/videos/diy/season 1/diy - s01e03 - hanging a door part 3
/c/media/videos/diy/season 2/diy - s02e01 - fitting a shower Part 1
/c/media/videos/diy/season 2/diy - s02e02 - fitting a shower Part 2
/c/media/videos/diy/season 2/diy - s02e03 - fitting a shower Part 3
/c/media/videos/diy/season 3/diy - s03e01 - wiring a socket Part 1
/c/media/videos/diy/season 3/diy - s03e02 - wiring a socket Part 2
/c/media/videos/sailing/season 1/sailing - s01e01 - trimming sails
/c/media/videos/sailing/season 1/sailing - s01e02 - dropping anchor
/c/media/videos/sailing/season 1/sailing - s01e03 - navigation
/c/media/videos/guitar/season 1/guitar - s01e01 - tuning part 1
/c/media/videos/guitar/season 1/guitar - s01e02 - tuning part 2
/c/media/videos/guitar/season 1/guitar - s01e03 - tuning part 3
/c/media/videos/guitar/season 2/guitar - s02e01 - playing chords Part 1
/c/media/videos/guitar/season 2/guitar - s02e02 - playing chords Part 2
When I set out my folders in this manner and then use the TV series scanner within Plex it doesn't show the correct folder names and file names on the various menus. It simply states Season 1 or Episode 1 etc.
Is there any way I can set out my folders to show the correct structure of my files and also show the descriptive file name.
I hope this makes sense of what I'm trying to achieve.
Thank you
Phil
