NAS 104 Reset problem
Hi,
I had problems with my device and after having copied everything on the cloud, I have to carry out a factory reset. I tried following the instructions but from the looks of it when I reached the point of pressing the backup button to start the reset process, I pressed the button anotehr time and the sytem went for an OS reinstall. The problem now is that this process has been ongoing continously for the last 48 hours! and the on and off button is flickering so I presume that something is going on. I am not sure whether I can switch everything off during this everlasting process and start afresh or have to wait for teh OS reinstall to finish. How long does it take?

The OS reinstall should just take a couple of minutes.
If you planning to do a factory reset anyway, you can simply turn off the NAS and start that again.
Though I'd install RAIDar on a PC, and check the NAS status with that first. https://kb.netgear.com/20684/ReadyNAS-Downloads

Uninstalled previous version of Raidar and installed new version but it cannot find the NAS albeit it's on and connected.

I restarted NAS again and this time round managed to show up and Rair dar found it and is marking as healthy. I clicked diagnostics and got the following result:
Successfully completed diagnostics
