NAS104 not connecting OSx nor able to access via RemoteNAS
Hi ALL
1st time here.
I am trying to use the NAS104 as personal cloud but until now it turned to be a externa hard drive that I can send my files in but have a LOT of trouble trying to connect and use the files when needed.
I use a Time Capsule + Model to connect the Netgear to my network..
Until some months ago I manage to connect to the NAS via finder and altought extremely low I manage to use to copy TO and FROM NAS..
Now, I am only able to access via the navigator interface (via readycloud.netgear.com) and I still able to copy files to the NAS (very fast must say) but since I use to backup most GoPro Videos and photos (RAW data) I have no preview on the files and only manage to download a file. So you can imagine how happy I am when I need to work...
Any clues?
How can I connect again? I used to happly use ReadyNASRemote for some days, now don`t even login (the icon flashes with blue color and keeps gray, which means, no connection).
Also, If I am no asking to much in the same tread how can I configure so a may be able to connect away from home? It is possible?
Thanks!!

OpenVPN might work better for you.

Tks for you quick reply
Sorry for the question, but can you give me some orientation on how to configure an OpenVPN?
I am really a dumb on the matter :(

Some Netgear routers (perhaps other models) have OpenVPN support built in (the R7000 is one). That's by far the easiest. Once configured, you run the OpenVPN client on the PC, and then you have full access to your home network - NAS, printers, other devices. The connection is encrypted with AES, and if it is in the router doesn't require opening any ports. I don't think there is an OpenVPN app for the RN104.
OwnCloud is similar to ReadyCloud - I haven't used it, so I don't if it has the same issues for you or not. There is a small charge from the app developer (and it is available on the RN104).
IMO, ReadyCloud still isn't there yet.
