Need advice for failed volume sync

I found backups of everything so I decided to start fresh.
There is nothing wrong with any of the three drives. I removed all three and ran the thru the long testing of SeaTools. No errors.
So far I've installed the two new drives in x-raid2 and everything seems fine. I intend to add two more of the old drives.
I googled and found quite a few forum posts and sites stating the ReadyNAS falsely was falsely reporting good drives as bad.
