Need Updated Info for iSCSi installation in 5.1 ESXi
I was trying to install iSCSi support on my 5.1 ESXi host and noticed that the option for installing iSCSi datastores located on the readynas has changed. I was following along with this document up ...
Hey, mdgm!! Long time, no talk to... :-)
Per our last conversation (many moons ago), I'd actually updated my firmware to it's present state (4.2.21).
Okay, as I went further into this, it appears that what's "not" mentioned in the documentation is that you have to click "add" to add a new iSCSi adapter; once that adapter is added, "then" the properties option is displayed... Additionally, there's a typo at the point to when you are adding your new iSCSi target to the datastore, the directions tell you to choose the "Network File System" although the option is marked "Disk/Lun" (no biggie) :-)
Overall, I figured it out and got my iSCSi storage configured. If time permits, I'll screenshot what I did via another iSCSi entry... :-)
