Noobie question re 2 RJ45 ports on back of ReadyNAS
Hi,
I have a RNDU2000 and just purchased a RN10400 but haven't set it up yet. Both have 2 network ports and I wanted to know if that means you can daisy chain them with patch leads or was there another purpose for the 2 ports?
Geoff

- vandermerweMasterOn the ultra all you can do is use the ports to connect to different LANs.
On the 104 you can do this or set up a bonded interface - you will need the correct switch to use some of the modes.

For most home users, neither feature is particularly useful. - Geoff2005AspirantThanks for the answer, like you said the second port doesn't look like it is useful to me.
