NV+ FW 4.1.7
I have a new NV+, with a label underneath "FW 4.1.7" I have a set of disks, from a NV+ that was upgraded to Raidiator 4.1.10. Will the two work, or do I have to convince the NV+ to update its firmwa...

It's best to have the the firmware in the flash matches what's on the disk.
If the firmware in the flash was extremely old, then it is possible that the disks wouldn't boot. That scenario happens if the newer firmware requires a bios update in the NAS.
That isn't the case between 4.1.7 and 4.1.10, so the newer disks would boot. Again, the impact of ignoring the "should be at least as new" is that an OS reinstall or factory default would end up downgrading to the older 4.1.7 firmware.
So in your particular case it isn't that big a deal. But since it is easy for you to fix it, you should.
