NV+ Power Supply goes up in flames, now what?
The power supply incl. the motherboard are gone, looks like the disks (2) are not damaged. What's the best and cost-efficient way to retrieve the data? No warranty left. Cheers.
I'm not sure how many boxes are still using that original fanless PSU (my NV+ purchased in June, 2007 is one). I have heard of many failures, usually quiet loss of power, but some have popped capacitors. Yours is the first I heard of burning up. However, I think I may go ahead and change mine out with the spare I bought earlier this year. Mine has not failed, but the newer version is visually obviously more robust.
