NV+ Power Supply goes up in flames, now what?
The power supply incl. the motherboard are gone, looks like the disks (2) are not damaged. What's the best and cost-efficient way to retrieve the data? No warranty left. Cheers.

Down load SeaTools from the Seagate website. They offer both a version that runs in Windows and a DOS based version. The DOS based version when downloade is an .iso file which must be used by a program like Image Burn to create a bootable CD. (It can also be used to create an image of a CD/DVD as well as burn an image to CD/DVD).
The Windows version is easier to load and run, but the DOS version has some advanced tools that can come in handy. I normally use the Windows version installed on this PC, but also have the DOS version.
