OS 6.0.5 "device is offline"
I updated my RN102 from 6.0.4 to 6.0.5 about 7 hours ago, and am still seeing the "device is offline" when I access the web page, and the blinking blue light on the panel.
After a while I get "Connection lost" with "do not reboot the device" and "call netgear technical support".
I can access the volumes over CIFS, ssh access is fine, and there is nothing intensive happening per top.
Anyone else seeing that?
btw, one clue might be the following stuff in error.log:

- hungerApprenticeThanks, mdgm. I updated my post. It appears that the OS reinstall reset the login/password to my ReadyCLOUD login/password.
- roystudiosAspirantQuestion is has the release note been issued for 6.0.5 (including installation impact/FAQ etc) - or are we it? Ref; this thread too - http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=70935
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredRelease Notes have not yet posted. I hope they post some release notes tomorrow.
- roystudiosAspirantAnd as if by magic, 6.0.6 is released and the AFP errors are all gone, time machine works and we are back to normal
Thank you NG :) - hungerApprenticeI updated to 6.0.6 and everything is now working except I cannot start the Plex Media Server and Photos still does not yet work. There is a cryptic note about the Plex server in the 6.0.6 release notes but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do. I find it interesting that the Plex Media Server for OS 6 does not appear on http://www.plexapp.com/getplex/index.php.
- GovnahAspirantIn order to start Plex I had to SSH and restart Plex via systemctl......
systemctl start fvapp-plexmediaserver
I had to do that severl time before Plex would start and show as "On" from frontview.
OS 6 has been a royal pain in the ass. - btaroliProdigy

They have a build of 0.9.7.26 you can download if you're a PlexPass member, so I guess they don't consider it production just yet. I haven't actually had any luck intstalling this preview due to a package release dependency in how PLEX is installated as part of the OS build. Very annoying.
It is also unclear how PLEX will distribute for ROS6, given that we're supposed to install everything through Genie now. Not a lot of clarify or good communication on all this, I'm afraid. :( - GovnahAspirant

Yes I have tried several times to install the preview release and failed, as you said because of dependency issues. I have posted several time son the Plex forum but no reply and yes, very annoying. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee Retired

Plex is included in the firmware at this time. So each time you install a firmware update Plex should be installed.
