OSX Maveric and RN 516 - smb problem #25261052
Hello, I have a RN 516, with firmware 6.1.9, but access from Mac OSC10.10 with smb is slow. is slow to show the folder, and copy files, also some folders do not give access privileges due (I also tried connecting with cifs but nothing changes). The network is a Gb Ethernet switches HP 1810. Other mac OSX 10.6.8 with the copying of files is good, but the folder view is always slow. Old windows Xp is quick to view the folders.
I thought I was set up two network cards in the NAS BOND, but I do not know if this improves performance.
Grazie

- nikowebAspirantWhile considering the skill of the technicians and the availability of Netgear, we assume an accidental error (unlikely) in good faith with data loss. Having had one year to a product that does not work, I find myself stopping a company for four days to restore everything. About thank? With my clients I do not work well. I can understand that it's just a practice, but it is offensive to a company that gave its confidence to netgear. The company of my business does not want money, but only with respect !!!. Why not find another solution, maybe provide a new NAS test ??
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserFWIW, whenever I read the disclosures that my doctor and dentist give me to sign I end up scared to death.
You are venting at the wrong target - other vendors have essentially identical terms for the same reason. You might forgive accidental errors, but other companies and users will not, and seek damages.
So do what you need to do. But your real issue is that you have a problem that has gone unresolved for a long time.
To avoid any confusion - I do not and never have worked for Netgear. I'm just a customer who posts here. - nikowebAspirantI did not mean to offend you. I fully understand that it is only a statement.I do not understand it. I am afraid that there is no solution, according to us the problem lies in the operating system, or the Nas is not able to withstand the job. I fear that there is no solution that will change the product. thanks
Niko - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserI am not offended, just trying to clarify.
I guess the decision for you is whether to allow support to look at the system. It makes no sense to me that you'd buy another NAS instead of letting them look first.- nikowebAspirant
However I am still here to the starting point. I found others with similar problems, but they gave up and sold the system, or are forced to live with it. None of these contact Netgear never to tell him that they are forced to work in this way. I have confidence in the technical Netgear to solve problems, but you need to look beyond, stop blaming Mac to Windows to Linux, the network, maybe even look into the ReadyNAS.

Good morning, I performed the last update at 6:42, now I can not save you from Photoshop, Illustrator gives me error messages and some folders may not be copied, duplicated or renamed.
After a year of trying, netgear abandon my case, so I find a ReadyNAS 516 to throw. This is the technical service of Netgear, this is definitely the netgear warranty. No one knows what happens to my readynas. Shame, shame, shame.
only thank the few technicians who have helped and supported me during this time, but the netgear companies repeat Shame.
