Performance degrades the longer ReadyNAS is on

My ReadyNAS is becoming more and more problematic. Its to the point where performance is steadily degrading while its on until I need do a hard reboot since its not accessible or responsive to anything else.

I've been digging through logs and have found a couple things so far that look like they could be a problem.

The first is with rsnapshot in my user.log
Feb 15 04:00:01 BAILEYNAS rsnapshot: /usr/local/bin/rsnapshot hourly: ERROR: At least one backup point must be set. rsnapshot can not continue.
Feb 15 04:00:01 BAILEYNAS rsnapshot: /usr/local/bin/rsnapshot du: ERROR: At least one backup point must be set. rsnapshot can not continue.

I thought I had rsnapshot disabled but these are still in the log.

The other more suspicious log entry is in syslog where there are a flood of these :

Anyone know how to fix either of these or if either could be causing the problems I'm seeing?

Thanks so much

  • Super-Poussin's rsnapshot addon does not disable its cron jobs when you select "disable" from the Frontview addon screen. If the error messages bother you, you can remove the addon or manually remove the cron jobs.

The behavior you're reporting can be caused by (among other things) a full OS partition. What is the output of this command?
    df -h

    And this one?
    df -hi
  • Thanks for the reply

    df -h :

    BAILEYNAS:~# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
    /dev/md0 4.0G 880M 3.0G 23% /
    tmpfs 16K 0 16K 0% /USB
    /dev/c/c 1.8T 778G 1.1T 43% /c

    df -hi :

Filesystem Inodes IUsed IFree IUse% Mounted on
    /dev/md0 64K 21K 44K 33% /
    tmpfs 124K 1 124K 1% /USB
