Maybe try installing RAIDar and see if it can find the NAS. If it does, than it will tell you the IP address it is using. If you let us know the IP address for the NAS and the laptop, then we can see if the IP address of the NAS is mismatched with your new home network.
If you have a unit with an LCD panel, it will also show you the IP address.
