Post your performance results
I thought it might be interesting to see what kind of performance everyone is getting with IO Meter so that we can compare what we're getting. So I thought we could all post our results in this thread for easy comparison.
You can run IO Meter by following the steps here: http://www.infrant.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=265
Please post your hardware specs, other relevant info, and IO Meter results. Maybe this could get stickied? Or ignored if no one cares :)

Here's my info:
Stock NV
4 x Seagate ST3250823AS 250gb Hard Disk in X-RAID
All journaling disabled
Fast writes on
Intel D805 2.66ghz dual core cpu
Intel D945GNTLKR motherboard with onboard Intel Gigabit NIC
2 gigs ram
Seagate ST3250824AS 250gb Hard Disk
Windows Vista x86 RC1 (if that makes a difference)
Dell PowerConnect 2708 Gigabit switch (no jumbo frames)
Cat 6 cabling
IO Meter Write: 19.321793 MBps
IO Meter Read: 26.803979 MBps

- dmviperAspirantI was suprized to see some reports showing 1.25MB/sec and 2.15MB/sec in the report as well.
One item I forgot to mention was my Playstation 3 that is wirelessly connected to the WRT54G, and I have an HP printer plugged into the GS608 which is 10/100. Will turning on the Jumbo Frames cause slower performance for the PS3 when it is pulling pictures from the NAS? Also should I disable the Optimize for Mac OS and journaling to improve performance?
One more question: Is the performance at all related to the wireless router being 10/100 on my network? - smartwombatAspirantWith IOMeter as specified in theFAQ
Write MBps 9
Read MBps 27
That's without jumbo frames.

Well, not sure how to interpret these numbers. Perhaps someone could help me out a little? I'm sort of suprised that with jumbo frames turned on that the read performance really didn't increase at all. Seems like it did with the write performace though. Seems almost symmetrical. Is that ok? Good, bad or indifferent? - NeilPeartAspirant

I've a question about my ReadyNAS NV+. You can see my parameters about my system, and the IOmeter results. Is it possible to increase my read speed?
Operation system : Windows XP SP2,
ReadyNAS Network settings: Jumbo frames enable
RAIDiator version: 4.01c1p1
Performance tap settings: Disable full data journaling & journaling; Enable fast CIFS writes and fast USB writes
Network switch model & firmware: Linksys SML2008, fw.: 1.0.1
NIC on your PC: Intel(R) Pro/1000 PT
Number of disks and disk models: 2x500GB WDC WD5001ABYS-01YNA0
The read/write MB/sec numbers from IOMeter. No need to post the entire result file unless requested.

Can you give this copy tool a try (it can add buttons to the TC menu bar), and see what it gets for speed compared to native TC: http://www.codesector.com/teracopy.phplacika76 wrote: With Total Commander (Also use big file copy mode : 10240k&256k):
