Power Outage - Resyncing ReadyNAS 104

Hi,

I just had two power outages and now my NAS 104 is resyncing should I leave or restart? And yes I need to get a UPS!

Firmware 6.9.0

4 4TB Drives 50% full.

The resync will takes days fro what I can determin.

  • Thanks a_carneiro,

Robooted and its commenced recync cycle so heres hoping all will be okay. I will setup the UPS and connect my other NAS ASAP.

I do expect a couple of days at least to finish, I am presuming all my data will be okay.

    Jim

  • Just leave it to do its thing.

The 104 is a very underpowered model so the resync will be a long, slow process which should take around 5 days for that capacity (if memory serves right).

      Thanks,

We just had a second power failure, its back up now, I did pull the pwer plug out so if there was a power surge with the power reconnection it would not do more damage.

Would it be sefe to re-boot now?

I do have a second Reday NAS4 that is fine.

I have also ordered a UPS.

Well, should be safe to reboot assuming you're not expecting another power failure

The UPS is the obvious choice, all of my ReadyNAS boxes are UPSed :)
