Power Plugged In - Dead ReadyNas NV+

Hi all

Just back from holiday and plugged in ReadyNas NV+ (RND4000) , heard a "pop" and now nothing. No sounds... no lights... nowt!!

Checked the plug and everything ok.Is there an internal fuse? Have checked the manual but can't find anything.

Any help would be great as i miss it.

Andrew

It likely has a 3 year warranty, so if you joined the forum around your purchase data you should contact Netgear immediately at support.netgear.com.

It sounds like a failed PSU to me. I think there are some fuse links on the system board, hopefully they are still ok.

Replacement PSUs are expensive, if you can't get a warranty replacement it is possible to modify a standard ATX power supply to work. However, the modified PSU is unlikely to fit in the chassis.
