Generally yes. RAIDar discovery might not work, but you don't really need that once the system is setup. ReadyDLNA might also be an issue (since it also depends on broadcast packets).

I don't own a v2. However with ReadyNAS generally, if you are in flexraid/jbod mode the system won't format disks automatically. After you insert them, you go into the dashboard and set them up.
