Raiditor 5.3.6 - accessing the Genie marketplace
I have been trying to see what GENIE apps are available on the ReadyNAS NV+ v2 with Raidiator 5.3.6. The NAS presents me with a login box for Genie marketplace. I do not have such an account, so I click on the link saying "Create a Genie Marketplace account". The NAS then fails to load this page with the error message "Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at <nas name>:5050."
Is this a bug? Am I doing something wrong?

- Cozmo85AspirantI have the same problem. If you go to http://genie.netgear.com it will not take my username and password i used to register my readynas even thought it says thats what you use. If i ask it to email me a password reset it never sends an email.
Was really looking forward to this when i saw the news today but its busted. - christi1AspirantI was able to create an account on that site and log on using that. It doesn't show any available apps after login though.
- Cozmo85AspirantI think it shows apps based on the device you have registered. have you registered your readynas with the same email address?
- gillmaccaAspirantSame here. I have double checked and logged into the netgear support page, but when i try to login through genie, it says invalid username/password
I have made the mistake of creating a new account for genie. How do I log out of genie in frontview? - sharkmanAspirant

1. Change your password at genie.netgear.com
2. in Fronview disable Genie (System / Services)
3. Goto "Genie Apps" tab, after awhile it should ask for username and password
Worked for me... :) - WishAspirantI am also having troubles trying to log into the genie.netgear.com, using my support registration details to log in doesn't work.

Thanks for that, but looks like someone has sorted it out in the background for me. Logged into genie website, and my device is now listed, even though it isn't the email address I registered my nas with - i4niacAspirantCan't login at https://genie.netgear.com right now.
Tried to create new account, it says the email is already registered with the system.
Changed password from my.netgear.com, then trying same credentials on genie - doesn't work. - OOM-9NETGEAR ExpertI have been running into a few people having similar issue. I have found that it can be hit and miss for some accounts that do work.
The other side that I have got was there are possible changes where there will be same account details imported from the my.netgear.com into the Smartnetwork accounts.
I know the Smartnetwork team is working hard on getting the site in a more stable state and the possible importing of accounts. - randombrickAspirantI have the same issue and logged a support case (19547802). The L2 support expert suggests that I use a different email address - "One possible reason why you are experiencing this problem is because you need to use a different email address for marketplace." This forum post seems to state otherwise. This is nuts!
Also, I am a bit confused of how to purchase the Transmission add-on. Do I buy it from the Genie marketplace or http://readynasxtras.com/? Also, do I get updates to my purchased add-ons for free?
