Understood.  Still, the access to the Z drive means that you can solve this problem using the Windows Credential Manager.

Windows Credential Manager is in the control panel, if you type "Credential" in the search bar you should see it.  You delete any credentials that are currently saved for the NAS (either IP address or name), and create two new windows credentials - one for the NAS name, and one for the IP.  You can use admin credentials (as you did in the net use test) or you can use any other local NAS account that has access to the shares you want.  You might want to do another net use * /delete before you modify the credentials.

I've seen this from a few people now - what's needed is to add (or replace) credentials in the windows credentials manager for the NAS.

Let's confirm that though.  Try opening CMD and entering

    net use * /delete

    net use t: \\nasipaddress\data /user:admin nasadminpassword

using the real ip address and nas admin password of course.  If you are using flexraid, then replace "data" with the volume name you use.

The first command terminates any open network sessions; ignore any errors, and if you get a confirmation prompt let it proceed.  The second attempts to mount the NAS data volume as drive letter T on the PC.  Let us know if it works correctly (and if not, how it fails).
