ReadyDR Error 255

I have a share with 422GB ReadyNAS 314 (v6.9.2) that i want to backup to a ReadyNAS 3312 (v6.9.3).

All goes well for 30 minutes, then i get:

"ReadyDR job failure: Unknown error 255 [Backup to NS5]"

In the backup job history, i get "Broken pipe".

Any idea where to start to fix this?

  • Hi defcon84,

The 'Broken pipe' status indicates a network issue. Are both NAS devices connected on the same LAN? Are they connected to a switch or are they connected directly to the router?

    Hi defcon84,

Can you download the system logs and provide it to us. You may check this link for the steps on how you can send it.

      Guide

One NAS is online for 3 years and thus has many many logs.

Therefor I'm getting a timeout on the download logs (/dbbroker) page.

I can SSH into the NAS and get the files manually, which files do you need?

The logs are rotated, so that shouldn't be giving you a timeout.

I suggest going in with ssh, and looking at the fullness of the OS partition next.

Another option is to use paid support (my.netgear.com), and give netgear remote access.
