ReadyNAS 1000S
Hi I have an odler Ready nas 1000s and I went to upgrade it to 2tb hard drives (not sure if it could take them) and now it just powers up with a blue flashing light and drives 1 and 3 light constantly...

The Infrant ReadyNAS 1000S is long out of warranty. However some help can be provided on this forum.
Looking at this link http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/hardware/what_does_this_light_pattern_mean, I'd suggest you try a TFTP boot recovery. If that doesn't work, then the flash in the NAS is in question and may need replacing.
The 1000S is compatible with 2TB drives (but not any larger capacity). Please choose drives from the Hard Disk HCL e.g. for the NV+ (v1), Duo (v1) or 1100 which are other Sparc ReadyNAS.
I would recommend you update to RAIDiator 4.1.7 or later and do a factory default with the 2TB disks in place. This will give you 4k sector alignment. Without this you will have poor write performance if you chose 4k sector disks.
