[ReadyNAS 102] Device Communication Error
Hello. I am fairly new to NAS systems and recently purchased a ReadyNAS 102 2 bay to give my workplace more harddrive space, and to add RAID support. For 8 months now, everything has been going great. Being from Baltimore, ever since the riots, my boss is a little paranoid that someone could walk off with the storage device and all our work with it. To remedy this, I suggested Replicate, a service I remember reading about when I purchased the first box.
In essence, I bought a 2nd box to replicate our current box so my boss can store 1 at home. When I try and set-up the new box, I get this error message: Device Communication Error ReadyCLOUD temporarily lost communication with your storage system. Would you like to try again?"
I've restarted the box and am at a loss for actions. I have no idea what to do. I hope this community can help.

Which firmware is on the two units?
Have you checked that both units can connect to the internet i.e. email alerts work from both units?

The 1st box has firmware 6.4.2, and the 2nd box can't make it past the discovery step.

So I can't even get to the admin area where I can setup email alerts, update firmware, etc...

Can you try offline setup of the new box, update the firmware on the new box, verify the update is successful, then do a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) and try ReadyCLOUD setup again?
