ReadyNAS 104 randomly disconnects from Mac mini (10.7.5) (AFP and SMB)
Hello,
I updated to 6.4.0 a few weeks ago (from 6.25 i think) but my ReadyNAS 104 won't work properly after the update. It randomly disconnects on SMB and i get the message it doesn't have permission to write while using AFP after which it disconnects. It also froze a couple of times where the only option was unplugging the power cable. I haven't had all these issues before the update. Is there anything i can do, because i haven't been able to use my NAS since.
My RN104 is my only NAS and has 4x 4TB WD Red drives in it. I can't perform a full back-up of those disks. Is there a way where i can put my RN104 back to factory settings without losing all the data on the 4 drives? And if it is not a software issue but a hardware issue, is there a way i can use the 4 disks in a new RN104 without losing all the data on it?
Thanks in advance!
Greetings Tim
You may wish to try 6.4.1 Beta 2.

Im sorry for the communication error. OS 6.4.1 beta 2 did it for me. I can use my Nas again through SMB. AFP still wont work stable, but im really happy i can use SMB. Thank you!
