ReadyNAS 104 shuts down with no reason
Hello, I have a ReadyNas 104 (firmware 6.4.0) with two disks inside (WD40EFRX and WD20EARS), in "JBOD". Two days ago i found it turned off. I checked the logs (web) but I didn't find any entr...
You could request an RMA. The problem doesn't seem software related, since it survives a factory reset. And the disks are passing the diags, which leaves the chassis and power brick.

I've sent the logs and started to backup the most important files. I'll wait for some advice from mdgm and then I'll try the upgrade.

Not sure what's causing this but your logs are being spammed with:
Apr 16 14:12:30 NAS104 ddclient[363]: WARNING: file /etc/ddclient.conf, line 8: Invalid Value for keyword 'login' = ''
I would suggest that you backup your important data, upgrade to 6.4.2 and see if you still have the issue. You may wish to do something about the ddclient configuration so that if you still have the problem that won't spam the logs.Thanks mdgm for your fast reply.
I'm not sure why this entry is happening. I installed long time ago the ddclient, couldn't configure it and uninstalled. I have only the transmission running in my NAS.
I've started the backup, but the nas has shutdown two time in the process. I'm not sure if the upgrade will be a good idea :( I'll try to do it and I'll report here my results.

Well clearly when that app was uninstalled it wasn't completely removed.
