- RXLuminaryIs your RN104 currently on FW v6.2.2? Did you uninstall any App/s?
Have you tried using other browsers or tried using other PCs/laptops? - HariSeldon0FEAspirantno idea if i uninstalled any apps when last using it and yes to other browsers and PCs. no idea about the firmware sorry. but i think i was up to date last time i was in the admin panel no more than a couple of months ago
again sorry i can't be of more help - RXLuminaryTry to perform OS reinstall and this might help. OS reinstall will set the password back to its default which is "password" without the quotation marks. Also, the NAS will be set back as being a DHCP client and this will not delete any data saved in the NAS.
http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detai ... NobQ%3D%3D - HariSeldon0FEAspirantanyway solutions that don't make me lose all my data? i have about 8 terabytes of stuff on there, and copying that all will be a huge pain
- RXLuminaryAs I have mentioned, OS reinstall will NOT delete the data stored in your NAS.
- HariSeldon0FEAspirantokay i tried still no web admin but the IP of the nas changed, my addons still work
Edit also checked on the readycloud webpage my nas is running 6.2.2 and also tried to get on the page with the link there it is also not working. also using windows share i also lost a bunch of folders that i could previously see - RXLuminaryStrange... OS reinstall should have already did it. Regarding this, its best that you contact Netgear Support and ask for their assistance: http://support.netgear.com/general/contact/#tab-call -- Be reminded that they might offer you a support contract if ever the free 90-day support for your NAS has already lapse.
- HariSeldon0FEAspirantit wont help, i bought this nas from a friend and they wont lift a finger to help you if you aren't the original owner, even though this clearly is a issue of unstable software on their side from what i have gathered so far
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserAs far as I know an OS reinstall won't fix this problem.
Some netgear folks posting here do sometimes fix these issues as a courtesy.
If you have a scratch disk, you can fix it on your own by:
(a) power down and remove all the current drives (labeling by slot)
(b) install the scratch drive and power up. The system should do a factory install on the scratch disk, and the web UI will work on it.
(c) then update the firmware to 6.2.3 beta (found in the beta forum here)
(d) after the update, power down and reinstall the original drives in their original slots. Then power up.
The system should install the beta firmware onto the disks as part of the boot process. That should repair your web ui with no loss of data.
There's an easier way if you have ssh installed. - HariSeldon0FEAspiranti do have ssh access to the nas
