ReadyNAS 312 and 422
Hi,
Really simple question what is the difference between RN312 and 422? I own quite a few ReadyNASes in the 3xx series and wondering what you get from upgrading to 4xx :).
Thanks,
Matthew
RN312/RN314:
D2700 dual core Atom processor @ 2.1 Ghz
2 GB of DDR3 Ram
Front USB port is USB 2.0
RN422/RN424:
C3338 Dual Core atom processor @ 1.5 Ghz
2 GB of DDR4 Ram
All USB ports are USB 3.0
Off hand, I'm not seeing a big reason to upgrade from a working RN312 or RN314.
But you would get more RAM and better performance if you upgrade an RN316 to an RN426 or RN428. Those models have 4 GB of RAM and quadcore C3000 processors. The RN316 has the same processor and RAM as the other RN300 series products.
The RN426 and RN428 also have more LAN ports.
