Joel,
I do not see anything in the log file that will represent a resource issue, it appears the system should be able to serve video and files via any protocol without issue,
It might come down to how you are using the system. I would do some double checking on the performance,
LAN connect and see if you can stream using SMB or AFP whichever file protocol you use. Try different video players as well and see if you have the same performance. If this issue is strictly an issue with the application DVlink, the only advice I can give you is to uninstall and reinstall the app but it looks like you may have done this already. If the uninstall and the reinstall does not work then you will need to contact the app developer for support.
Also please make sure you do the scheduled maintenance on the Filesystem. Scheduled Maintenance Tasks. Keep in mind that doing scheduled maintenance can cause minor downtime and resources to be used on the system but is essential for sustained system health.

Alex, thanks for your hints. I really appreciate it.
just for clearance: the buffer underrun occur while access MKV/MP4-Files using SMB-Shares. There is no external ap involved/affected.
i just cleaned and defragmented the volume - without success.
i changed the video players from vlc to wmp - this worked for me a bit.
There are less buffer underruns/video freezes as before - but they still occur :-(
I was wondering, cause i didn't experienced this problem before the update. i hope it will be getting better on the long term with a new update.
how often should i scrub/defrag/clean my raid?
the srub took about 14 hours. The defrag about two hours. (pretty fast for 6GB?!)
any hints about the detecting problems with the tv stick? this problem wasn't there before the problem.
thank you!

If you are using a windows PC, can you download NASTester and (http://www.808.dk/?code-csharp-nas-performance) and measure the SMB read speed.

Thank you!
The NAS-Tester shows the lag every 30-50 Seconds.
The average - normal - transfer is about 25 - 35 MBs.
While lag its about 2-6 M/s.
i don't know what to do anymore :(
i just defragmenten, scrubbed and scanned the volume, too. Without success. :-(
btw: while srubbing the NAS hangs. Restartet successfully, without resync necessary.
any hints, tips are appreciated. :)
