ReadyNAS 3200 alerts
Hi,
I recently upgrade CPU of my ReadyNAS 3200 and now the alert system don't work properly. The system is continually sending alerts:
And don't show correct fan rotation speed.
What the problema is? Can I do something to correct it?
Thanks in advance

- fordemMentorYou might have more success posting in the ReadyNAS forum - but my suspicion is that you are using an "non-supported" processor...
http://www.readynas.com/forum/ - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWhat CPU did you put in it?
We don't support CPU upgrades.
Did you connect the fans etc. back up correctly. - DavidPesqueiraAspirantI upgraded a Intel Core Duo E7400 to a Intel Core Quad Q9650. I have not touched anything else than CPU.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWell our config for the 3200 would be based on the stock CPU so with the different CPU behaving differently that would explain why you are getting the alerts.
Could you send me your logs: http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/misc/how_do_i_send_all_logs - DavidPesqueiraAspirantHi, I have sent the logs yesterday, could you see anything?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIt looks like you are getting those errors due to changing the CPU. Our software is hard coded to expect the output given from the stock CPU.
- DavidPesqueiraAspirantSo, is not possible to solve the problem?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredPerhaps post on the ReadyNAS forums and see if any of the users there have suggestions.
