ReadyNAS Duo DLNA server = crap (or am I wrong?)

Just thought I would like to share this info with others, if the moderators will post this......

I have been having problems with DLNA serving to Win7 WMP12 machines in my house. After 3 months of trying to get a straight answer, this is the reply...

I have read your case and understand that you are experiencing some problems with your ReadyNAS wherein ReadyDLNA is not working through WMP12. I apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced. Since we are doing this online, it may require a few e-mail exchanges before we can resolve the issue. Please be assured that I will do my best effort to help resolve your case in the least amount of time.

To answer your query, this particular concern is happening not only with WMP but also to other ReadyDLNA server due to compliance issue, meaning this is not yet DLNA certified.

As far as I can tell, the ReadyNAS Duo is not fully DLNA compliant. Again, on Netgears website for the ReadNAS Duo.....see the key words DLNA Compatible.......

Media Streaming
DLNA Compatible UPnP AV
Logitech SqueezeBox
SONOS Digital Music Center
Network DVD player compatible
Windows MCE compatible
Sony Playstation 3
Microsoft XBOX 360
Media Streaming

AND.......the device is not listed on http://www.dlna.org either.

We all got duped if we thought it was DLNA complaint. I gather compliant and "compatible" are different
