ReadyNAS Duo no longer accessible through Windows

I can no longer access my ReadyNAS from my Windows File Manager or HTTPS. When I run RAIDar, I see the MAC address, IP Address, and the lights are working BUT the "Setup" button is greyed out so I cannot login to "Frontview".

Any ideas what the next step is?

Thanks!

Dave

Can you ping the IP address?

Are you using Windows 10?  If so, try going into the "turn windows features on or off" control panel app, and make sure that the SMB/CIFS 1.0 client is still installed.

Did you try forcibly powering down the NAS, and then restarting it?

      Thanks for the quick reply!

      1. yes I get a successful reply when I ping

      2. "SMB 1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support" is checked

      3. I have powered down/up by unplugging it

If you don't have a current backup, then I think the next step is to try to offload the data.  If you are using XRAID, you can do that by installing r-linux for windows on a Windows PC, and connecting disk 1 of the NAS to the PC (either using SATA or a USB adapter/dock).  R-linux for windows is free and can be found here:  https://www.r-studio.com/free-linux-recovery/
