ReadyNAS Duo V2 192.168.168.168 ARGHHHHHHHHH
Ok so I have read forum post after forum post... aaaaaand nothing. Ive tried everything ive read. Some serious idiot decided in their wisdom to "steal" an extension lead for something else and on this lead was the NAS drive.
SO ive now been trying to get back into the administration panel with NO LUCK at all.
RAIDar allows me to scan and see the device. I then click setup I get the
"The NAS device you selected is on a different subnet. To access this device, change you IP address to 192.168.168.x click "Rescan", and try again"
So I did, found it, then click on setup and get the "Unable To Connect" through Firefox, but if I click browse I can see all the data.
I NEED to be able to get to the admin screen to change the IP Address back to 192.168.1.5 so I can access the drive locally on all my machines. I have tried the direct connection, no luck, network connection no luck. Just at a loss now.
I currently have a setup of the following. 2 routers with seperate DNS servers 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.254, they are plugged into a GigaSwitch and so is the NAS drive. each router assigns their own DNS settings, .1 is given .2 - .125 and .254 is .126 - .244
Cna anyone help me get the admin screen up!

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIf it is a Duo v2 press the power button briefly twice to shutdown the NAS safely.
It is a v1 press and hold the power button for five seconds and it will shutdown.
The turn it on again. Does it pickup an I.P. address?
If it's still not fixed shutdown the NAS again and follow the boot menu instructions in the hardware manual to do an OS Re-install.
To see if you have a v1 or v2 see e.g. http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how-to-tell-whether-i-have-a-duo-v1-or-duo-v2-or-nv-v1-or-nv-v2/
A number of users believe they have a v2 when in fact they have a v1 through no fault of their own. - georges999AspirantThe RAIDar specifically says Duo V2 but ill try the above
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIf RAIDar says Duo v2 then it is a v2. Just wanted to make sure.
- georges999AspirantOk done that ans the OS Intall is underway, the IP address on RAIDar is still 192.168.168.168 and the status is updating
- georges999AspirantOK it changed the IP address form above to the correct one and is now working. Thank you mdgm!!
