ReadyNAS Duo v2 won't boot with disk light continuously blinking
Long story short, there was a power outage a couple of weeks ago, and I have to manually press the ReadyNAS power button when the power came back on. I got the email notification about improper shutd...

I pulled out disk 2 and rebooted, but Frontview says it's dead so I can't get any information. Would it be OK to try putting the second disk into the disk 1 slot and see what happens?

I'd try downloading the logs first, and see if you can find history in smart_history.log
You can power down, remove disk 1, and then try inserting disk 2 into slot 1 - to see what happens. If it fails to boot, you could try doing a factory reset from the boot menu (see 15-16 here: http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/RND2110/Duov1_NV+v1_HW_en_06Dec11.pdf)
If the system won't boot (and won't do a factory install) then disk 2 likely has failed.
Make sure you power down before replacing disk 1.

There is no smart_history.log in the download.
I can't atach a zip to this reply. From a file called disk_smart_2017_03_25.log

I'm going to try using just the questionable disk as suggested and see what happens.

RAIDar says "Corrupt root" and I can't open the admin page. The blue power button is pulsing. All the green lights blink slowly 3 times then quickly 3 times. Will attempt factory reset now.

With disk 2 in slot 1 I did a factory reset. RAIDiator asked me what I wanted to do with the disk so I chose erase. After a long time it finished and I was left with an empty disk, everything unconfigured. There was no SMART+ information. So now I've put disk 1 back in slot 1 and disk 2 back in slot 2, booted, and now it's syncing. However it is using disk 2 to sync with! This is effectively erasing everyhting I have on the drive. I was not expecting this!!!!!!! Maybe I should have booted up with disk 1 again by itself? Frontview doesn't show any SMART+ information for either drive. I did make a backup of the configuration a few days ago, but that's not going to save my data :-( Now I'm going to have to go through the process of restoring data from my Internet backup service Crashplan :-(
