What about trying a 30/30/30 second reset.
Just did, now its working with the disk.
30/30/30 is done by pressing the reset button when the unit is on AND holding it there for a full 30 seconds.
Still holding the reset button down, power down the NAS.
Keep holding it for a full 30 seconds, and then, while still holding the reset button down, power up the NAS.
Then hold the button for an additional 30 seconds and THEN let go.
You will have been holding down the button for a full 90 second period, and this will usually reset just about any gadget around.
Try it.
