ReadyNAS NV Factory Reset Can't Logon to Admin Page
I was just given a ReadyNAS NV without disks. I got a drive and slapped it in, did a factory reset and everything went great. RAIDar says the unit is healthy. I click admin page and it asks for usern...

Try admin/infrant1. If those credentials work then you are running firmware that is ancient. You should update the firmware.

Considering how old the firmware on the system is, after you update the firmware and verify that the firmware update is successful I would do another factory reset (wipes all data, settings, everything) to get a clean setup on the new firmware.

It looks like I can only get it to upgrade to firmware 3.0. I tried to load 4.1 onto it, but the box that says verify and upgrade stay greyed out and won't let you click on them.

Never mind. I remembered I read somewhere that you needed to use IE or Opera to do the first firmware update because of a compatibility issue. I used Opera and it is updating it to 4.1.12.

4.1.14 is current production (4.1.15-T3 is officially beta, but all it adds is a couple security patches).
