ReadyNas NV+ RND4000 Kernel Panic

Hi,

I was wondering if you oculd help with my ReadyNAS NV+ RND4000

Basically, it's the kernel panic issue, however, when I remove one specific drive, it does boot up, and I can access the web admin, but just not the data.

It says it is healthy and redundent, so do I just need to buy a new 2TB drive and it will sort itself out?

Also, is the order of the drives important?  According to xraid_config, the numbers seem off, but  when I swapped them around I got kernel panic, details below:

It's okay if you can't help, I just thought it was worth a shot.

Thanks anyway

Stuart

This part seems a bit odd.  You ought to be able to access the data.  Have you tried downloading the log zip file?

Also - do you need to off-load the data?  Or do you have backups of whatever you need?

Have you tried testing the problem drive in a Windows PC with WDC's dashboard software?

      Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I do not have backups. I want to offload all the data. I can access all the logs.
