ReadyNAS NV+ Seems really slow
I just bought a ReadyNAS NV+ 2x750 and am trying to transfer all of my data from a raid array to it so I can retire my old server. First I tried to use EMC to get all the files over to the NAS, but...
I am having the same issues. I have two NV+ and have them both connected to a gigabit switch and using rsync to copy from one nas to another I am getting 1MB / second. Nothing I have tried has helped. Over AFP the fastest I have seen is 4MB / second and that is with a brand new iMac using a CAT 6 cable connected to the same gigabit switch.
I have a Pro Business ReadyNas at home and I get around 70 to 80 MB / second. I finally gave up on these crap NV+ boxes and am replacing them with a Pro 6 model. The NV+ is just not working right network wise.
