ReadyNAS NV+ v1: Every username/password accepted while connecting via SMB

Question

Hi everyone!&nbsp;If I press "cmd" and "k" on my Mac with OS X 10.10.4 to connect to my&nbsp;ReadyNAS NV+ v1 via SMB it accepts ANY username/password-combination!I set the admin-password via the web-frontend ("Frontview") and to log in to Frontview the new password is required ... for the smb-connection not, as said!&nbsp;Ideas?&nbsp;Thx,Marcus

Do you have guest access enabled for the shares?

In Frontview go to Shares &gt; Share Listing &gt; Share name, select the CIFS protocol for the share and see if the "Allow guest access" checkbox is checked.

Under Security &gt; Security Mode which mode are you using?Share mode has long been EOL and I suspect that is what you are using.Please see&nbsp;http://readynas.sphardy.com/2010/09/how-to-migrate-to-user-security-mode_4917.html
