ReadyNas NV+ v2 + Windows 11. Unable to copy to NAS and see all files via Windows Explorer
Hi
Ive recently got access to my ReadyNas NV+v2 and gained access to the dashboard - which i got working through an older version of Firefox.
I am unable to copy files to the Nas or browse all the files via Windows 11 Explorer.
I can take files off the Nas via Windows and the Dashboard. I can add new folders and remove them through the dashboard, but not see them on windows Explorer (or copy any files to them)
Firmware 5.3.13
All drivers are healthy
Radiator 5.3.13
Shares are all set to SMB
Shares are set to read/write
No groups or users are setup - most of it is still default.
I havent been able to map the drives in Windows either. Althought may have been doing it incorrectly (?) I was unable to install SMB 1.0 (which is turned off by default in windows) due to windows failing the process.
Thanks in advance.

If you are comfortable with SSH and the Linux environment, you can enable "experimental" SMB2 on a DuoV2. I've not done so, but others have reported it works. Another option would be to access via FTP.

Im not familiar with Linux or FTP either really. I understand what it is, but have not set one up - have been looking for a guide, but not much luck.
Also I left the NAS running overnight, I can now see all the files in windows Explorer - so this was a cache issue. However I still can't copy any files onto it - which is what Im aiming to do.- StephenBGuru - Experienced User
Did you try resetting the file permissions? (see page 35 of the manual)

What error message did you see? Were you enabling just the client, just the server, or both? (You only need the client).

Try running CMD. Then enter
net use * /delete /y net use t: \\nas-ip-address\sharename /user:admin nas-admin-passwordsubstituting the real NAS IP address, a real sharename, and of course the actual nas admin password. If you are still using the default password (which is password) then change it before doing this.
Be careful on the typing (particularly spaces and the two different slashes).
