Readynas NV+ V2 SMB problem not accessible while copying

I have a strange problem with my Readynas NV+ V2 (RND4000-200EUS). I hope someone can help me!!

A coupple of weeks ago one of my 4 disks gave an error in the NAS. I replaced it and it synced my volume and I thought it was working OK. But from that point when I tried copying files to the NAS it randomly stops copying in about 15 to 30 minutes. I get an access error in Windows Explorer. I tried to access the NAS from at least 2 other pc's at that time, but I cannot connect with Explorer.
The NAS is still responsive at its IP adress trough the browser, so I can login and everything seems fine and I can ping it from a DOS-box.
I replaced all disks because on the forum I read that it could be another defective disk, but no luck. I downgraded the firmware from 5.3.10 to 5.3.9 but no luck. Did a couple of factory defaults and checked all disks, no problems found, but copying still hangs after some time...
I tried another gigabit switch, no luck. I tried disabling services in the NAS, no luck.

Please, can someone help me? The NAS is not very old, and I will have to take a look at the warranty if I cannot find a solution.

    All v2 products are still under warranty (which is 3 years for the original purchaser). I think you should contact support (support.netgear.com, use the email option).

    What disks are you using?
  • At first I used Western Digital Green disks but did read on forums that those disks are not good for NAS systems. So I replaced all 4 disks with Western Digital Black (enterprise) disks...
