Do you have an NV+ v1 or an NV+ v2? Default password in the V2 line is "password", the V1 uses "netgear1".

An OS reinstall will reset the password and the network configuration back to defaults without destroying your data. http://www.readynas.com/kb/faq/boot/how ... e_firmware

I guess I want to be completely clear.

When power is off, there will be no LED to watch.

Do the LED Flashes appear when it is powered on later, or when I depress the Reset for five seconds?
