Did either of those make a difference?
There are no devices on the LAN that are perhaps using the same IP address? , and you're sure you don't have a dhcp range that includes the reserved address ?
Ssh in, then
# df -h
# df -i
The first line result of each will tell you about Inodes free and space free in the OS partition
