ReadyNAS NVX Business Edition problem

I did a factory default last night, forgot to use raidar in time so the system defaulted to raid 1, when I went to bed it was still creating the raid, woke up this morning to an error on frontview about one of the drives, it was clicking which it never did before, factory default again, this time choosing raid 0, when it finished only 1 hdd was being recognised, tried the bad hdd on my windows machine, nothing, tried it in ubuntu in virtualbox, not recognised, booted my comp into Ubuntu via USB, still not recognised
On a plus side, I can surf the net on my phone, tab, downloads torrents with the nas connected without being being booted
