ReadyNAS OS 6.10.5. Connect to Admin page for a few second, after: "Connecting to the ReadyNAS Admin

Hello.

NetGear RN10200
ReadyNAS OS 6.10.5

Problem: connects to the admin page for only a few seconds, then the message: "Connecting to the ReadyNAS Admin Page"

The system is fully operational, makes a backup in the background on a schedule, connects via Nas Util on Android.

Step 1. Login

Step 2. Admin page

After 3-5 second message: "Connecting to the ReadyNAS Admin Page"

And so in a circle...

There is apparently a hot-fix out there, but I don't think it's being pushed through the Netgear update servers just yet.

Sandshark has reported that he's gotten the hotfix, so it is being pushed now.

aleksey_bobrov: you might just try rebooting your NAS, and see if it picks up the hotfix.

Thank you. I installed hotfix and it works

Lots of people have already reported this.

Try using Chrome, and enter https://nas-ip-address/admin (using the real NAS IP address).  The https bit is important.

You can also try an OS reinstall from the front panel (don't do a factory default)  Instructions start on page 20 here: https://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/READYNAS-100/ReadyNAS_%20OS6_Desktop_HM_EN.pdf

That will change the admin password back to password, which should let you log in.  It will change a couple of other settings

        • The network will be set back to the default setting (DHCP)
        • Volume quota (on the volume settings wheel) will be turned off.

You can then downgrade back to 6.10.3 or 6.10.4 (before you change the password).
